Section 13 of Industrial Disputes Act 1947 Bare Act & Notes

Duties of Board

It provides that in case of any dispute being referred to the Board, it shall be the duty of the board to endeavour to bring about a settlement of the same. Further, in case the matter of the dispute is arrived at in the course of the conciliation proceedings, the board shall send a report to the appropriate Government together with a memorandum of the settlement signed by the parties signed in dispute. The board is further supposed to submit a report within two months from the fate on which the dispute was referred to the board. Also, with prior written permission from the parties to dispute, the submission of the report may be extended by such periods as may be agreed upon.

The dispute of A and B is referred to the Board on 1st June 2019, then in such cade, the report about is submitted to the appropriate government needs to be submitted by 31st July 2019 or may be submitted on a further period based on the written permission from the parties to dispute.
