About the University
Adamas University is a private university located in Barrackpore-Barasat road near Barasat, West Bengal, India. It is the second private university to be established in West Bengal and came into existence via an official gazette notification in 2014.
About the Moot
Adamas University, School of Law and Justice is organising its 1st Online Moot Court Competition on 8th & 9th August 2020.
Team size and other information
Each team shall consist of a minimum of two members and a maximum of three; two members shall be designated as Mooters and one member as a Researcher.
However, a team consisting of only two Mooters may be allowed. Also, under exceptional circumstances, the researcher may be allowed to moot, although such a change in the team composition must be informed beforehand.

The registered teams shall submit soft copies of their memorials for both the sides based on Moot Problem 1 by e-mail to [email protected] by 23.59 hours of 31st July 2020. A delay of a day shall cause a penalty of .5 marks. So, for example, if a team submits the memorials on 4th August 2020, two marks will be deducted from the total marks of 50.
The participating teams while submitting their memorials in MS-Word (with .doc or .docx extension) or pdf format via e-mail, must name their respective memorials as P for Petitioner or R for Respondent accompanied by the team code. Say, for example, if a code for a particular team is 1, the MS-Word or pdf file for the Respondent should be named as ‘R1’ and the MS-Word or pdf file for the Petitioner should be named as ‘P1’. The memorials shall nowhere mention any particulars, for example, the names, contact numbers, email addresses, etc., of the participants.
Fee Details
The registration fee is Rs. 1000/- which must be paid through online mode and in favour of Adamas University. The fee payment details will be sent to the individual’s teams that are chosen for participating in the event.
