Supreme Court Orders Lowering of Qualifying Cut-off by 10 Percentile in NEET 2020 for Admission in BDS Course 2020-21

The Supreme Court in a judgment dated 8th February 2021 ordered the authorities to lower the qualifying cut-off of NEET 2020 by 10 percentile for giving admission to the students in the first year academic course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) of the year 2020-2021. The bench comprising Justice L. Nageshwar Rao and Krishna Murari observed that this decision would not result in lowering the standards of education.

Supreme Court: In Established Possession, Injunction Can Be Obtained Even by Trespasser

In a judgment passed on 8th February 2021 by the Supreme Court, it was observed that if a trespasser is having an established possession of a property, he is entitled to obtain an injunction. This judgment was passed by the bench comprising Justice Ashok Bhushan, R. Subhash Reddy, MR Shah while upholding the judgment of Madras High Court decreeing an injunction suit.
