Job Description:
Established in the year 2007, Reliance Brands Limited is an investment arm of Reliance Industries in Premium to Luxury segment of Retail. RBL began operations with a mandate to launch and build international and domestic brands in the premium-to-luxury segment across apparel, footwear and lifestyle businesses. Its current portfolio comprises of all long-term partnerships such as Bally, Kate Spade, Emporio Armani, Canali, Coach, Brooks Brothers, Diesel, MUJI, Steve Madden, Superdry, Hunkemoller, Iconix etc. We have 60 International Brands & Omni-channel partnerships in the country with over 700+ point of sales.
Profile Brief:

Role: To draft, negotiate & finalise all commercial agreements of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support across all lines of business enabling growth while mitigating legal risks and assure adherence to governance policies, ethics, and laws and regulations;
  • Responsible for providing legal advice to the organization;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate major and/or non-standard contracts, including licensing agreements, professional services agreements, service agreements, product purchase/supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, etc;
  • Advise on legal issues involving government and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries to include identification, analysis, and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions.
  • Close liaison to business in providing a variety of corporate and commercial legal services;
  • Engage in litigation on Company’s behalf or coordinate litigation and other legal, administrative or investigative actions handled by external legal advisers:
  • Work closely with other lawyers throughout Reliance and coordinates legal matters handled by external legal advisers. s

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate deep general commercial or functional knowledge across a broad range of sub disciplines within the individual’s specialty area(s), (e.g., general corporate law, competition law, securities compliance and regulatory, employment law, data privacy, risk management, contract management, intellectual property, trade secrets, advertising law, etc.)
  • Superior legal skills and business judgment in areas of responsibility.
  • Strong Oral & Written communication skills
  • Self-starter, exceptional communicator and good at interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good planning and execution skills

Education & Experience Required:

  • PG in Retail Management/Fashion Management from a reputed business or fashion institute
  • 4-8 years of experience in similar role of Buying of a similar category
  • Preferred Industries – Organized Fashion Retailers/Ecommerce companies
