Roles and Responsibilities
- This position requires the candidate to have excellent drafting and negotiating capabilities, be able to draft documents and business documents such as letters, MoUs etc., ensure legal compliance and work on standardization and limit risks and exposure to the business providing legal and corporate advisory from time to time.
- Facilitate in legal responses and provide legal advisory to other departments of the company.
- Should have a knowledge on Intellectual Property (IP) law regarding registration of Trademarks, litigation on Trademarks and Patents.
- Advising on arbitration, negotiation and conciliation in commercial disputes between the parties
- Draft agreements, negotiate contracts and minimize risks and maximize legal rights and contractual entitlements and benefits.
- Provide legal protection and risk management advice on contract management. Create MIS in excel.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, litigation management
- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the department for executive management meetings

- Excellent judgment and analytical skills
- Should know Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Have experience in contracts, trademarks, IP laws, litigation, corporate laws, labour laws in a corporate legal department, law firms, or other legal professional services firms.
