Burgeon Law is a boutique law firm with offices in India and Singapore, we offer a one-stop destination towards all legal matters for start-ups, founders, incubators, angel investors, venture capitalists, and equity funds representing a broad spectrum of sectors/industries including health-tech, ed-tech, fin-tech, FMCG, logistics, e-commerce, travel, mobility, pharma and healthcare, and real estate, etc.

We are looking for a Legal Associate with 3 – 5 years of PQE. Candidates who have the ability to be adaptable and go beyond the conventional approach to find the right and innovative solutions for the clients shall be preferred. Qualifications:

  • LLB (3-5 years degree course)
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing agreements. (No litigation experience required, only corporate experience candidates).
  • Good command of English (Mandatory).
  • Ability to work independently, while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Adaptive to the environment.

Scope of Work:

Advising clients on the whole array of their corporate, contractual, and legal arrangements including, inter alia, vendor/procurement/re-seller contracts, distribution and franchise agreement, consultancy and various service agreements, technology, and IPR licensing agreements, variety of collaborations, and tie-up arrangements, media & broadcasting, sponsorship and merchandising agreements, labor, and employment-related issues, recovery and dispute resolution matters.

Handle all legal documentation including drafting, reviewing, and amending a variety of Commercial Agreements (letters of intent, MoUs, partnership agreements, shareholders agreements, land agreements, share purchase agreements, finance agreements, and other commercial agreements).

Advice on various laws including aspects relating to corporate governance, employment, intellectual property, and foreign exchange.

Interpretation and advice on compliance requirements, the applicability of provisions, risk impact under various laws, rules, and regulations.
Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment and collaborate with clients. Handle negotiations with counterparties and their external and internal advisors.

General Corporate Commercials

Remuneration: Best as per industry standards
Not looking for Litigation Experience.
