Concept Note

On 5th August 2019, President of India in the exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution had issued the Constitution (Application to Jammu and Kashmir) Order, 2019, and thus altered the status quo of Article 370 itself. Article 370 in the Indian Constitution had always remained a moot issue of debate since its inception on October 17, 1949.

Now, it has been one year of the change in status quo vis-à-vis Article 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution is concerned, therefore it is imperative to see it through a fresh perspective in academics that how much it delivered and what concerns needs to be addressed in the times to come.
