About the Webinar

Topic: Gender impact amidst the Pandemic: How women’s sexual & reproductive rights got compromised

The pandemic has created complications in women’s lives – their reproductive and sexual health took a huge hit. There is a significant lack of emergency contraceptives during the lockdown which further leads to unsafe abortions and maternal deaths.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had potentially catastrophic secondary impacts on the health of women and girls and the threat of sharp rises in maternal and neonatal mortality looms over them.
