Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad’s 1-Year LLM Programme in Business and Corporate Law

About the Institute

Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Hyderabad campus, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, was established in 2014 inheriting the splendid novelty, dynamism and excellence in education of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune.

SLS Hyderabad is located in the Mamidipalli village of Ranga Reddy District of Telangana State,(near Hyderabad); just 40 minutes away from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad.

This year SLS Hyderabad is set to offer its first-ever LLM Programme to all the hardworking aspirants of law out there. 

What is the LLM Programme all about?

LLM Programme of 2020-21 comes under the Centre for Post-Graduate Legal Studies with a specialization in Business and Corporate Law. Its duration is of 1 year with an approved intake of 10 students.

Eligibility

Applicants with a three-or five-year LL.B. Degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognized by the UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade [45% for SC/ST Candidates] are eligible to apply for the program.

Moreover, Candidates who have appeared for the final year LL.B. examination may also apply.

How to apply?

The registration for the program is done by online means on the official website of SLS Hyderabad. The admission is offered through the entrance exam of All India Admission Test (AIAT) and it consists of the following:

Written Test: This test is conducted to assess the knowledge of the applicant in the areas of legal knowledge, legal aptitude, research aptitude, and teaching aptitude. Knowledge of areas including Constitutional law, IPC, environmental law, Family law, Human Rights, Corporate Law, and Public International Law is necessary to pass the written exam. The weightage of the written exam is 70%.

Personal Interview: this stage is conducted to assess the personal attributes of the applicant and to see if he/she stands fit to be enrolled in the said program. The applicant is required to tell the interviewers about themselves, their interests, and their vision. The weightage of the PI is 30%.
