About the journal:
Learning and Motivation invites submissions for a special issue on the topic of Nonhuman Animal Social Behavior that will appear as a 2022 issue of the journal.
About the Issue:
Nonhuman animal social behavior has been studied by, among others, comparative psychologists, behavioral neuroscientists, animal ethologists, anthropologists, and psychologists with different theoretical orientations. Much of this research has been compartmentalized into these different sub-disciplines with unsystematic communication among many researchers analyzing related problems from different perspectives. The goals of the special issue are to (1) highlight the diversity of research on this topic, (2) illustrate the methodological and conceptual similarities and differences among them, and (3) encourage cross-fertilization of research from the different perspectives. To these ends, empirical research from any theoretical perspective and on any topic within the broad domain of social behavior as it relates to learning and motivation is invited.
Manuscripts must meet the journal’s standards for acceptance, as defined by peer review. Instructions for submission can be found at (web address). Authors should indicate in their cover letter that the manuscript is intended for the special issue on nonhuman animal social behavior. Up to three names (with affiliations and email addresses) of suggested reviewers of/commenters on the manuscript also may be included in the cover letter.
Deadlines:
Call for submissions opens 25th August 2020.
Call for initial submission closes 1st April 2021.
