Around 3,000 to 5,000 Nurses of AIIMS went on an indefinite strike over several demands on December 14, due to which AIIMS approached the High Court of Delhi and sought a direction to restrain the strike. The Delhi HC in this regard restrained the strikes.

Supreme Court re-considered its decision to admit a petition that challenges the constitutional validity of the notification for National Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi in 1975.
