Towards effective interpretation: Kerala HC rules that the right to have the name of one’s choice comes within the ambit of Articles 19 and 21
The Kerala High Court ruled that the right to have a name of one’s choice came within the scope of Articles 19 and 21 of the Constitution. Justice Kurian used the doctrine of effective interpretation to give Rule 69.1(1) of the CBSE Examination bye-laws a rational meaning.
