Key responsibilities:
• Be responsible for assisting in contract development, maintenance, tracking, analysis, review, compliance and administration activities;
• Provide risk assessment and analysis of non-standard clauses; primary focus on straightforward contracts and customer requests (NDAs, RFPs, RFIs) as well as providing team support for reporting
• Collect feedback and interact with commercial teams and customer on contract clauses;
• Interact with Central Legal team on clause risk assessment;
• Ensure correct archiving and storage of documents, contracts, corporate documents and official documents in the contract management or other internal tools;
• Develop ‘eye to eye’ relationship and engagement with internal stakeholders and implement process capability.
• Provide consistent and predictable high-quality service to business partners and end customers
• This is a junior role with a focus on development to take on more responsibility in future
We are looking for:
• Bachelor of Law. Master of Law a plus.
• Experience and knowledge within shipping or international trade an advantage
• Contract management and process management experience preferred
• The candidate has 1-3 years of experience from an in-house function in an internationally oriented law firm or international corporation with an experience in dealing (drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing) with agreements.
• Given high stakeholder interaction excellent English skills both oral as well as written are required and proven capability in MS Office is expected
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible and business supportive mind-set
• A strong communicator equally capable of engaging with stakeholders and colleagues alike.
• An ability to delivery independently and timely.
• Ensure timely delivery and qualitative review of contracts
• A natural ability to handle a lot on the plate is required with an eye for details.
• Ability to build and create credibility and perseverance in negotiations.
