Delhi High Court Allows Review Petition Saying That Relief Cannot Be Granted to Those Who Haven’t Petitioned Before Court

In the present case, the respondents/review petitioners filed a review petition for the impugned judgement dated 10th April 2019, which directed for the payment of RMA to all the personnel of CRPF up to the rank of Commandant. The Court allowed the review petition saying that relief cannot be granted to those who didn’t petition before the Court.

Supreme Court Says States Power To Legislate “Any Backward Class of Citizens” Does Not Violate Basic Structure of Constitution of India

A constitutional bench has been constituted to consider questions relating to the contours and extent of special provisions for the advancement of socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) among citizens as contemplated under Article 15(4). It also raises the question of reservation for the backward class under Article 16(4). Constitutional (102nd Amendment) Act, 2018 was also challenged.

A writ petition was filed under Article 226 of the Constitution to issue a Writ of Certiorari and Mandamus for calling the records relating to the proceedings of the third respondent, The President of Tirupattur Co-operative Primary Agricultural & Development Bank Ltd., dated 13.05.2015. It was prayed to quash the same and direct the respondents to settle the retirement benefits payable to the Petitioner including Employees Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Surrender Leave Salary as on the date of retirement on 28.02.2011 along with the interest till the date of payment within a time frame as fixed by the court.

In Case of Medical Emergency, Government Employees’ Medical and Travel Compensation Should Not Be Rejected: Tripura High Court

The Petitioner is a post-graduate government school teacher. He was diagnosed with an encephalitis seizure disorder. Following that, he was twice admitted to local hospitals and twice to Apollo Hospital, Chennai. He requested the government for paying medical and travelling compensation for his treatment. It was denied as the Petitioner didn’t fill referral orders from Standing Medical Board.
