Andhra Pradesh High Court Allows Writ Petition for Appointment of Vice-Chancellor at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Accordance With Law

On 7.05.2021, the Andhra Pradesh High Court had heard the Writ Petition via Video Conferencing on the subject of issuing a Quo Warranto contending that the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU) was void ab initio. The PIL was allowed by the court.

Karnataka High Court Allows Writ Petition by Remitting It Back to Learned Single Judge for Reconsideration

A writ petition was allowed by Karnataka High Court on 22nd April, appealing under Section 4 of the Karnataka High Court Act to set aside an order dated 16th June 2017 by a learned Single Judge. Earlier, the appellants challenged the order of the State Government dated 18th June 2014 regarding the verification of the linguistic minority status of an educational institute.
