Supreme Court Collegium approved the appointment of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay as a permanent judge. The Court passed the resolution-making him a permanent judge on 14 July 2020. Previously, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay was appointed to the Court as an Additional Judge on 2 May 2018. Subsequently, in April 2019, the Court extended Justice Gangopadhyay’s term as Additional Judge.
