Madras High Court has recently settled the disputes between the renowned music director Ilaiyaraja and the proprietors of Prasad Studio, allowing the composer to meditate for a day in his music room where he used to compose his songs for 35 years. On the other side, as a condition, he has agreed to withdraw his case which he filed against the studio that had denied his entry into the room.

The High Court while disposing of the case said that the music maestro would be allowed to enter that room with the Advocate Commissioner appointed by the court and the defendants shall make sure that nobody is present in that room on that particular day. As stated by both the counsels the room which was earlier used by the music composer for composing his songs is now converted into an IT room for the defendants.

Therefore, the defendants agreed upon the condition of allowing the composer on the time fixed by the court and at that time nobody would be allowed to enter that room.

As per the court, on the day when the plaintiff will be entering in that room for meditating, the material belonging to him, kept in the separate room at the same premises, shall be removed by engaging Packers and Movers and the same shall be engaged by the defendants and before moving the material, the commissioner appointed by the court shall take the inventory of the material kept in that separate room. Besides the Commissioner, only three members are allowed to accompany the music director i.e. one personal assistant and two music assistants.

It was also directed by the Single bench of Justice N. Sathish Kumar that both the parties shall not engage in any altercations against each other. In case, where there will be a need, messages can be transferred through the Advocate Commissioner appointed by the Court.
