Delhi High Court Says Remdesivir Should Be Made Available Not Merely To Hospitalized Patients but Even to Those Who May Be in Home Isolation

A petition was presented by an advocate practising in Delhi who is suffering from COVID-19. In this petition, he demanded to be provided with Remdesivir injection which has been prescribed to him. Moreover, the Court also observed certain issues regarding the acute shortage of the said drug and ruled that it should be made available not merely to the hospitalized patients but also to the patients who are in home isolation.

Andhra Pradesh High Court Upholds Earlier Judgement Stating Tobacco Does Not Fall Within Definition of “Food” and Police Does Not Have Any Jurisdiction To Investigate Any Offences Relating to FSSA, 2006

A single-judge bench consisting of Honorable Justice R. Raghunandan Rao passed an order in Criminal Petition no. 2620 of 2021. The Petitioner is booked for the offences under sections 188, 273, 420, 120(B) IPC and section 58, 59, 63 of FSSA (Food security and safety act), 2006 because the Petitioner was caught storing tobacco and tobacco products. The Petitioner who is facing such charges had approached the Court for relief.
