A petition was presented by an advocate practising in Delhi who is suffering from COVID-19. In this petition, he demanded to be provided with Remdesivir injection which has been prescribed to him. Moreover, the Court also observed certain issues regarding the acute shortage of the said drug and ruled that it should be made available not merely to the hospitalized patients but also to the patients who are in home isolation.

The Petitioner filed the revision petition for declaration and Injunction against the order of the District Judge, Sriganganagar. The District Judge had rejected the application filed by the petitioner under Order VII, Rule 11(d) CPC seeking rejection of the plaint is barred by law.

A single-judge bench consisting of Honorable Justice R. Raghunandan Rao passed an order in Criminal Petition no. 2620 of 2021. The Petitioner is booked for the offences under sections 188, 273, 420, 120(B) IPC and section 58, 59, 63 of FSSA (Food security and safety act), 2006 because the Petitioner was caught storing tobacco and tobacco products. The Petitioner who is facing such charges had approached the Court for relief.

The bench of Justice SG Chattopadhyay gave a verdict in Crl. Rev. P No.57/2018. The Court upheld the conviction of two accused under the essential commodities act. 

Sri Balram Chowdhury was found guilty under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1981. He was sentenced to pay Rs 1 Lakh to Manik Debnath. The other partner of the company Amiya Gopal Das was also convicted of the offence, but he paid the particular fine.

The Petitioner filed this petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. The Petitioner requested the Hon’ble Court to appoint an independent Arbitrator to solve the dispute between the parties.
