Appellant is the mother of the respondents. Appellant alleges that two documents were caused to be executed in the names of her daughters (respondents) by perpetrating fraud and misrepresentation regarding the contents of the documents. According to the appellant, her daughters in cahoots with their husbands committed fraud and misrepresentation. And, therefore she approached the trial court with a suit by invoking the provisions under Order XXXIII of the Code for setting aside the two settlement deeds alleged to have been executed by her in the names of the respondents. Also as a consequential relief, sought a permanent prohibitory injunction decree.
The present anticipatory bail application was filed by the petitioner in Case Crime No. 1906 of 2020 under Section 420, 467, 468, 471, 506, 406 IPC. The Bail application was allowed by the Court on account of apprehension of his death due to the ongoing pandemic.

The Uttarakhand High Court heard a writ petition filed regarding the issue arising out of the correct procedure for recruiting for the post of Assistant Clerk in educational institutions. The petitioner prayed that the advertisement for filling the post of Assistant Clerk in an intermediate college should be quashed. The case is decided following the Regulations under the Uttarakhand School Education Act, 2006.
The present petition was concerned with the supply and availability of the drug Tocilizumab 400 MG for COVID-19 patients before the Delhi High Court.
In this case, a writ petition was filed by the Students Union and the Teachers Union at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, seeking a response to the repeated requests made to the concerned authorities regarding the setting up of COVID care facilities within the University premises and the issuance of other directions. Further, the Court observed that the JNU administration ought to have reacted with swiftness and alacrity. Moreover, the University was bound to take care of the health of the students and teachers, and make the facilities available, within the University campus, especially considering the prevalent shortages for hospital beds, etc. Besides this, a Judicial notice can be issued against the organizations and institutions that have gone out of their way, during the current pandemic, in order to provide facilities to their employees and other stakeholders.
In the present case, various petitions were filed by the Petitioners concerning the issues of oxygen cylinder pooling; price control of oxygen cylinders; bed allocation; and conducting testings only via RT-PCR test; update on relevant information by the hospitals and nursing homes; issues regarding ambulance and hearse/mortuary services for Covid-19 patients/deceased. Responding to these, the Court had expressed that the Central Government would look into the requirement of COVID beds, and would work to enhance the availability of such beds. Further, the State and the hospitals were also provided with some vital directions by the Court.
The present appeal was directed against the judgment and order dated 04.02.2021 passed by the Sessions Judge, Haldwani, Nainital in S.T. No.47 of 2018 in the High Court of Uttarakhand.
