Section 27 of Industrial Disputes Act 1947

Penalty for instigation, etc.

It provides that any person who instigated others to take part in the strike or lock-out which is illegal under the Act shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or both.

A person instigated other employees to take part in one of the strikes which was illegal as per the act. In this case, the person shall be liable for imprisonment extending up to six months and a fine extending up to one thousand rupees or both.
