Facebook seeks a highly self-motivated and experienced team player to serve as Lead Counsel, Competition, to the company in Singapore. Working with a talented and supportive team, this position will manage investigations and inquiries related to antitrust matters and help develop the company’s legal position and strategy on competition matters throughout the world. Lead Counsel, Competition Responsibilities:
- Represent the company in connection with competition inquiries by regulators and policymakers across the world
- Work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement long-term competition strategy
- Provide teams across the company with counsel and advice on antitrust issues
- Review and advise on pending and developing competition regulation and developments
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including at a top law firm and/or prior in-house experience with internet or technology companies working on competition matters
- J.D., LLB or equivalent law degree and a good standing membership in at least one bar
- Experience representing companies in antitrust inquiries including conduct investigations and merger review
- First-rate experience developing innovative and pragmatic approaches to complex legal challenges with a proven track record in providing concise and business-focused legal advice
- Flexibility and eagerness to work on a broad range of legal matters across the world
- A keen interest in digital and technological innovation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an absolute commitment to professionalism and collegiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with APAC and European antitrust laws and regulators
