Job Description
- To advise and support Branch Banking Team of respective Region on day to day legal queries, issues and resolve them within TAT.
- To reply to queries To prepare reply to notices by customers advocate To prepare reply to notice served by govt.
- authorities To advise on death claim settlement To advise and support Infrastructure, WBO and other internal Team of respective region, in resolving legal issues.
- To reply to queries of concerned team To prepare reply to notices by customers advocate To prepare reply to notice served by govt.
- authorities To handle litigations filed by Bank and make all efforts to expedite cases filed by the Bank in various courts/forums and recover claim amounts and obtain the reliefs prayed for w.

- To file suit/petition/complaint for Bank To attend Court To attend Police Station To liase with external counsel To prepare and vet pleadings To handle criminal matters filed against the senior management / bank officials and also by the Bank To liaise with external counsel To liaise with enforcement agencies/police etc.
- To ensure that criminal cases filed against senior management /bank officials have been handled effectively / quashed.
- To make all efforts to expedite cases filed against the Bank and get the claim rejected and/or arrive at amicable settlement with necessary internal approval thereby reduce the provision amount.
- To file suit/petition/complaint for Bank To attend Court To attend Police Station To liaise with external counsel To prepare and vet pleadings, viz.
- plaint, written statements, affidavit, complaints, appeals etc.
- To update Legal cases portal and provide MIS from time to time.
- To update court cases portal of the bank and update the same from time to time.
- To provide accurate MIS within stipulated time frame To support Corporate Legal Department in other matters that may be referred to by Seniors from time to time.
- To co-ordinate with Corporate legal providing all legal support on any special assignments.
- To advise on retail Bank Guarantees and Escrow Agreements of respective region.
- To vet retail Bank Guarantees To vet retail Escrow Agreements.
Skills
- Through knowledge on corporate laws, banking laws, property laws, civil and criminal laws
- Good Communication (writing and speaking)
- Knowledge of current affairs in legal field.
