About the Firm

Kaleeswaram Raj & Associates is a pure litigation firm focusing primarily on Administrative (Service) and Constitutional Law, with some matters in Property and Criminal Law.

It is based at the High Court of Kerala and the Supreme Court of India. The law firm essentially deals with common man’s causes and tries to maintain a certain level of ethical autonomy. The firm believes in the praxis of fair advocacy.

Job Description

The firm is looking for a candidate with keen interest in litigation lawyering and someone who can work well in the team of associates. Applications are encouraged from underrepresented groups.

  • The nature of the work will involve client consultation, attending the High Court of Kerala, the Kerala Administrative Tribunal, Kochi and the Central Administrative Tribunal, Kochi.
  • The bulk of the matters pertaining to administrative/service law and constitutional law.
  • The work will also consist of preparing case notes, legal research, assistance to and briefing Mr. Kaleeswaram Raj in hearing matters and arguing cases, at a later stage.
  • The candidate will be trained to draft Writ Petitions/Special Leave Petitions at the High Court and the Supreme Court.

Location

Kochi. Currently, they are looking for associates for the Kochi office only.

The office address is Kaleeswaram Raj & Associates, 69/3277 A, Peediyakkal Road , Kaloor, Kochi- 682018, Kerala.

Eligibility

Students who have completed a five-year law course or three-year law course at the recognized law colleges of the country and enrolled as advocates will be preferred. However, final year students are also eligible to apply.

Salary

Between Rs. 180,000/- and Rs. 3,60,000 per annum, with a subsequent hike depending on performance.
