Speaker: Mr. Nevin Jacob Koshy, Partner & Head of Department – Patent, Design & Copyrights, United Trademark & Patent Services, Dubai – UAE. 

Nevin is a credible distinction Engineer in Biotechnology and a commendable high merit Attorney in Intellectual Property with proven analytical and communication skills. A person who has completed all his education till date in distinction or high merit, with more than 10 years of quality professional experience. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, United Kingdom. He has worked for a number of reputed Biotech Industries both as a Research Scientist and as an Intellectual Property Consultant.

He has his specialization in Intellectual Property Law from the University of London and has numerous other degrees which he has taken during his professional career. He has also worked as an IP consultant in the Technology Transfer Department of Queen Mary University of London [Queen Mary Innovation Ltd (United Kingdom)]. He is active in various international intellectual property organizations such as INTA, AIPLA, CIPA, APAA and is currently one of the Board of Directors of the AIPPI UAE Chapter.

His focus areas are Patents, Design, And Copyright Protection locally, regionally, and internationally. He is also involved in Trademark Filing and Prosecution matters for his clients. He is actively involved in IP Training sessions and is a profound Speaker in several Regional and International Conferences. He is one of the firm’s Partner and is currently heading the Patent Department of United Trademark & Patent Services in their Dubai office.

Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar, having a Masters in IPR law, has experience of more than 32 years as a lawyer in handling IPR issues, covering the broad spectrum of Litigation and Enforcement before Trial Courts, High Court and the Supreme Court. He is also an expert in Valuation and Mediation with focus on IPR. Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar is highly proficient in filing IP applications, having filed more than 4000 Trademarks, Copyright, and Patent applications on behalf of diverse clients and their prosecution before various registries. Additionally, he also has experience in filing and prosecuting international applications in USA, ARIPO, EU, and South East Asia.

Apart from Litigation, Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar has headed numerous Training sessions, Lectures and addresses on specific IPR and IT issues for various sectors including Business houses, National Institute of Fashion Technology, CII, APTDC, JNU, NIT, JNTU, NIMSME, ESCI and other Government and Non-government Organizations.

He is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Practitioners’ Association India, International Trademark Association (INTA), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and is also a certified Mediator from BIMACC Bangalore, with focus on IPR Mediation. Currently, Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar spearheads the firm Wordict-IP® in India.

Dr. A.V. Narasimha Rao has received his Ph. D. from ICFAI University, Dehradun,2006. He has a rich experience in researching and more than 40 articles of his research have been published in International and National Journals. He has authored 3 books and presented 10 papers in International / National Seminars / Conferences.

He has an immense teaching experience of more than twenty years. He holds specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights, Contracts Law, Company Law, Banking Law, Insurance Law and Environmental Law.  He has specifically researched in depth on Copyright Law, Trademark, and Geographical Indicators. He has also Guided 35 LLM Students of NALSAR Law University and 20 MBA Students of ICFAI Business School.

Supreme Court Directs Government To Provide Free Education To Minor Children of Rape Victims

Aadhar Review Plea Rejected in a 4:1 Verdict by Supreme Court
