About the Competition

The Online Moot Court Competition being the flagship event of Philomath will witness the presence of various dignitaries, sumptuous prizes and a challenging yet fair procedure. The theme is Constitutional Law and the problem shall be kept contemporary and simplified. It is a person’s research that can glorify the simplest of subjects. Multiple steps have been taken to pull out the weeds of bias and luck ensuring that only the meritorious may proceed.

Eligibility

All students enrolled in a three (3) year LL.B. programme or a five (5) year integrated LL.B. programme are eligible to participate in the Competition. There is no restriction on the number of teams participating from one institution. Cross-university team between two or more colleges is also permitted. Taking in consideration the hardships of the current situation, there is no requirement of acknowledgement from the respective institutions.

Prizes

Memorial Score are added in the Preliminary rounds and hence, a good memorial may fill an error in Oral rounds. There are individual awards for the Best Researcher and Best Speaker alongside the Winner and Runner up team awards. The prize pool includes but is not limited to –
