Amantes Iure is an initiative to provide a platform for legal aspirants and law students to enhance their researching skills and legal knowledge by way of providing qualitative legal contents about contemporary issues of law and conducting various competitions to enhance motivation and opportunities for them. At Amantes Iure, we understand that a career in law is not always easy. Our vision is to create a safe budding ground of the thoughts about the judiciary in academicians and to bridge to gap between the opportunity and hard work. Creating a sound consciousness about multiple branches of law and to ensure that the students and academicians enjoy Carte Blanche in accessing the information of the networks and opinions.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION:

Team Amantes Iure presents their very first event ‘The National Quiz Competition’. This is a small initiative taken by the team to provide a platform for the legal aspirants and law students to flourish their knowledge in legal aspects. This competition aims to test your basic concepts as well as your knowledge on contemporary issues. So, if you want to brush up your knowledge, this is your opportunity. Sharpen your skills and come participate.

[This quiz is for a great cause. The funds raised from this competition will be donated to CM Relief Fund Assam for combating the devastating flood situation in Assam.]

Open for All who have a passion for quizzes and have a kin interest on Constitutional Law

COMPETITION DETAILS:

Important dates

  • The last date of registration is July 29, 2020. [Extended]
  • The competition will take place from 6:00 pm on July 31, 2020.
  • The results will be declared on August 10, 2020.
  • Certificates will be mailed to you within 72 hours of the declaration of results.

Important Guidelines

  • Format of Quiz: The quiz will be conducted online. The link of the quiz will be mailed to the registered participants 30 mins before the competition.
  • The participant can give this exam from their home or hostel with the use of a Laptop or Mobile Phone with a steady internet connection.
  • In case of ties, the time taken by participants will be considered as a tie-breaker. (Person who submits early will be given preference).
  • In case of any technical glitch, contact us on an immediate basis. But, Amantes Iure cannot be held responsible for any kind of network issues or poor internet connection on your part.

Rules and Regulations

  • The quiz will have 50 questions.
  • Time will be 30 minutes.
  • Every question carries 01 marks; there will be 0.25 negative marking.
  • The results declared would be final and the authority vests with Amantes iure to change or modify the same.

Candidates are required to register and pay the required amount. Successfully registered participants will be provided with important guidelines and details to participate in the quiz.

Any failure to make a payment or providing payment details on the google form will result in disqualification.

Rupees 60/- (per participant)

After the payment, all the participant(s) must share the payment details (Transaction Id or Transaction screenshot) in the google form.

Bombay High Court: Mere Presence at the Crime Scene Not Enough for Punishment

The Bombay High Court ruled that it cannot be considered a crime if a person is merely present at the crime scene which falls under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Obscene Dance in Hotels and Restaurants and Bar Rooms and Protection of Dignity of Women Act 2016. It also quashed two First Information Reports (FIR) against two individuals who were arrested in a raid at a dance bar by the Santacruz Police, in 2017.

CAIT Files a Plea Against WhatsApp’s New Privacy Policy in the Supreme Court

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has filed a petition against WhatsApp’s new privacy rules in the Supreme Court. The petition says that WhatsApp which is known to render public services by providing a platform to communicate has recently imposed a privacy policy that is unconstitutional, which not only goes against the fundamental rights of citizens but also jeopardizes the national security of our country.

RTI Activist Files a Plea in Bombay High Court Against Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin

On Saturday, a plea has been filed before the Bombay High Court by an activist stating that Bharat Biotech Covaxin had not been granted full approval but a restricted use in clinical trials according to the Drugs Comptroller General of India. WhatsApp Emails Delhi HC Judge Asking Her Not To Hear the Plea Challenging New Privacy Policy

The Delhi High Court raised strong objection to an E-mail sent by WhatsApp asking a judge not to hear the plea which challenges its new privacy policy. Justice Pratibha Singh said that the e-mail that was withdrawn later was totally unwarranted as she was anyway going to recuse from hearing the plea which was filed by Rohilla Chaitanya who contends that the new privacy policy of WhatsApp provides 360-degree access to a customer’s virtual activity and is against the fundamental right of privacy.

TRP Scam Case: Bombay HC Extends Protection To Arnab Goswami and Other Employees Till the Next Hearing

On Friday, the Bombay High court extended the protection that was given, to Republic TV’s Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami and other employees of ARG Outlier Media Private Limited till January 29th in the alleged case of Television Rating Point manipulation.
