The Contemporary Law Forum is a student run, professionally supported blog established with the primary objective of promoting and publishing quality legal research on contemporary issues of law.
Background to the Series
The Editorial Board invites submissions for the TCLF Blog Series on “Law, Ethics and Governance: Exploring Legal Implications of the Technological Revolution”. Technology Law synergizes two previously antipodal fields – law and science.
This synergy is reflective of the foundations of the Technological Revolution responsible for the exponential progress in every aspect of society. However, as scientists and technology professionals create newer, faster and more efficient ways of living, lawyers must constantly evolve themselves to question how such disruptive technology will impact society, identify challenges and eventually provide solutions.
The global pandemic has ushered in a new era of interaction between technology and the law, beyond that of the past decade and one that spans almost all jurisdictions around the world. This is not limited to just online workstations, but forms the cornerstone of judicial activities, policing, media, State control, education and the economy. Developments in technology law thus raise questions that concern constitutional, commercial, intellectual property, competition and
banking law, as well as litigation and dispute resolution.
Accordingly, this blog series seeks to evaluate the legal and policy repercussions of the Technological Revolution within the global order.

Submission Guidelines
Contributors: We invite submissions from members of the bar, legal professionals, law students, or others who are interested in publishing with us.
Content & Formatting Guidelines
- The article should reflect the original and unpublished work of the author. Descriptive pieces are discouraged. The authors should submit analytical work. A maximum similarity of 15% is permissible.
- Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed.
- Authors should preferably use hyperlinks within the text itself for citing the resources instead of footnotes.
- If hyperlinking the resources is not possible, authors may use Oxford Standard OSCOLA (4th edition) or any uniform citation style to cite authorities as endnotes.
- Authors should restrict their submissions between 2000-2500 words.
- Submissions should be made in Microsoft Word (.doc) format.
- Language used should be British English.
- Authors must adhere to the following formatting style; Font style: Times New Roman, Font size: 12 and Line spacing: 1.5. The body of the document should be justified.
All submissions are to be made by mailing your pieces to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Techlawblogseries_TCLF’. The body of the email must contain a short bio of the author(s) and the name of the institution that they are affiliated to. Kindly do not disclose your identity in the word document while making the submission as we follow a blind peer review process.
Note: The sub-themes prepared by the Editorial Board of TCLF are only suggestive in nature. The authors are encouraged to explore novel issues concerning the interface between technology and law.
Deadline
TCLF Technology Law Blog series is an exclusive series and involves a time restricted submission process. The thematic call for this series ends on 17th October 2020. Keeping in mind the selective nature of the series, all the authors whose articles are selected for publication for the blog series would be duly provided a certificate for the same.
